BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...

... to all Gators who will be battling the elements in an event this
weekend!

Our race calendar is lighter this Mother's Day weekend, which extends
through the start of French Creek Racing's OWS series next Tuesday 5/10.

If you do not have an event on Saturday, you may want to check out the
IRONMAN World Championship taking place in St. George, Utah.  This is
actually the 2021 world championship due to the postponement of last
October's race; there will be a 2022 world championship (featuring Gator
Brian Kozera) back in Kona, Hawaii in October.  See the link below for how
to watch the race that begins just after 8am on Saturday.

Weekend Workouts:

• Sunday 5/1, 11:15am-12:15pm, Spring Valley YMCA indoor lap pool:
Uncoached group swim workout

• Group bike ride or run? We do not have anything scheduled for this
weekend, but we highly encourage you to share on our Facebook group any
rides or runs that you are doing where you'd like some company!

Weekend Events: This weekend's events span from Saturday through Tuesday
and feature 6 Gators and 2 Gator offspring competing in 4 events.

Saturday, May 7:

• Dirty German (Philadelphia): In this ultra trail run event in Pennypack
Park that includes distances up to 50 miles, Faith DeFreitas will be taking
on the 25K course.  Go Faith!

• IRONMAN World Championship (St. George, UT): There are no Gators
participating in this event, but it's worth checking out to see the best
professional triathletes in the world battle for the world championship.
Check out this link to see how to watch it on IRONMAN's Facebook page, the
IRONMAN Now YouTube channel, and Peacock...

Sunday, May 8: Happy Mother's Day, Gator Moms!

• SwimRun Maryland (Boonsboro, MD): This race primarily features 2 person
teams that must stay within 10m of each other throughout the 8 legs (4 run
and 4 swim).  Gator AJ Kruppa and his son will be a team that will complete
four 2 mile run legs and four 1/4 mile swim legs.  Sounds like fun, go AJ
and son!

• Ainsley's Angels Yellow Stairway 6K/12K (Peace Valley Park, Doylestown,
PA): We have both distances covered with Kristin Kozera participating in
the 6K run and the team of Avery and Brian Kozera running in the 12K
event.  Go Avery, Kristin, and Brian!

Tuesday, May 10:

• CLUB/SPONSOR EVENT: French Creek Racing's OWS Race Series #1 (Norristown,
PA): This 6 event series kicks off and Gators Jennifer Gehret and Don Mack
will be participating.  The event will feature the usual 1/2 mile distance
and also a new 1 mile distance!  And there are also virtual tri, duathlon,
and aquathlon run options available along with a great post event food
spread and an expo area.  This event takes place just off of the Schuylkill
River Trail close to our intervals ride turnaround, so arriving by bike
works just as well as arriving by car.  Go Jennifer and Don!

Have a great weekend, have fun, Happy Mother's Day, and Gator Done!
