Large bird-like statuary in the garden

I have a Great Blue Heron Statue right next to a bird bath and it hasn't
stopped the birds from using it.

Just guessing, but considering that every sort of decoy used to keep
birds away seems to get ignored after a short while - if not
immediately - I would not think there would be any long term impact on
your songbird activity.

Here is a link to a Ct Post article on the rescue of a baby osprey tangled in bubble wrap in its nest near the coastal center. The rescue was coordinated by the Milford Fire Dept and CT Audubon volunteers and staff.
