10/17/13 - East Hartford, Hockanum River Linear Trail -- 15 Pectoral
Sandpiper, 3 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, 3 Brown Creeper, 2 Winter Wren.

From Jack Swatt:
10/17/13 - South Windsor, Vibert Rd -- a flock of about 100 AMERICAN
PIPITS in the field to the south of the road.

10/17/13 - Stratford, Short Beach --  female Black Scoter off beach
from southernmost parking lot.

From Sara Zagorski:
10/17/13 - Madison, Bauer Farm -- The first winter Blue Grosbeak was
feeding in the gardens late this afternoon. Could not relocate the
Clay-colored Sparrow.

10/17/13 - Easton, Aspetuck Reservoir -- Black Swan (at the fountain).
(This is an escaped or released bird.)

From Ray Belding with Jerry Marcellino:
10/17/13 - Litchfield, White Memorial's cemetery pond -- 9 Northern
Pintail, with only one drake.
