The Grand Cinema is showing one of the most unique films you may ever see
with Dave Made a Maze http://www.grandcinema.com/films/dave-made-a-maze/,
the story of a man who as an artist has never made anything of value and
makes a cardboard fort only to find himself trapped inside while his
girlfriend tries to rescue him with a crew of explorers.

Did we mention there is a Minotaur? Watch the trailer here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=bfXW2go4iec.

The film was the brainchild of Steven Sears and Bill Watterson who won the
Audience Award for the 2017 Slamdance Film Festival, a festival that
highlights high quality films made with little means. Sears wrote the
screenplay based off a story Watterson told from when he was a child and
built a fort which his mother destroyed a panic when she couldn’t find him,
thinking he was lost in the fort. 3 days and 60 plus pages later, the
production of the film was off to the races.

Meet the Producer

The film's producer John Charles Meyer will introduce Dave Made a Maze and
stay for a post-film Q&A. Meyer is a man with an interesting story who
worked at a DC political media firm in his 20s, then joined a rock band,
and then went into acting in a plethora of TV projects and films. He will
be available to answer questions for those lucky enough to see this one day
only showing of this film before it’s gone.

Dave Made a Maze http://www.grandcinema.com/films/dave-made-a-maze/ screens
only at 9:00 PM on Friday, July 28. Tickets are $10 with discounts for
students, military, seniors and members of The Grand. We suggest advance
