Thursday's NW winds and cloud-cover spelled 519 migrating raptors over
8 hours. Many of the birds flew in low. Then Friday--the N wind was
great, but the clear blue sky made it difficult to spot the very
high-flying hawks-- we had to concentrate to identify, managing to ID
191 over the first 4 hours.

Very many Monarchs were noted, along with 2 or 3 dragonfly spp.
From the west along Victoria St, in sw Whitby, 1 block east of
Lakeridge Rd. to Hall's Rd.--south toward the lakefront, parking in
the second roadside parking area.
