There are 2 Sunbrella coated products. One is Sea Mark
The wholesale supplyer's catalog says "Sea Mark An exterior grade,
waterproof marine fabric made by combining Sunbrella fabric with a
textured marine grade vinyl. Ideal for boat tops and covers. Also used
for entrance canopies, upholstery, tonneau covers and equipment covers.
Backed by a five-year manufacturers liimited warranty." It weighs 16 oz
per sq. yd. as opposed to Sunbrella which is 9.6 oz. per sq. yd. From
the catalog information Sunbrella provides the warranty for the product.
The other product is Sunbrella Plus a solution dyed woven acrylic
polyurethane back coated. "A highly moisture resistant Sunbrella Plus is
dimensionally stable yet soft and easy to work with. Bright and color
fast with excellent abraision resistance. Ideal for use in Biminis,
Dodgers, cockpit covers, travel covers, camper tops, and canopies." This
product weighs 10 oz. per square yd.
Either of these products should be available from your local canvas
worker. Our experience is that the Sea Mark is not breatheable and
weighs a ton, however it is water proof. Both products carry the full
Sunbrella warranty. The Sunbrella plus is probably a closer competitor
to Stamoid than Sea Mark and looks more like fabric than plastic.

I can't
remember
where to get it though, or what it's name is. Someone treats
Sunbrella
then sells it under another name. Maybe someone else on the list
can
list the source/name?
