IT'S OPEN SEASON FOR OWS!
During the month of May, the OWS options are abundant with workout options
from club sponsors French Creek Racing and Mid-Atlantic Multisport and
OWS-specific events from Steelman Racing and French Creek Racing. In
addition to that we will resume our "Saturdays at Blue Marsh" series plus
we kick things off on May 3 at our Monday evening club swim workout with a
coached indoor OWS simulation!
Many of us had little to no OWS practice in 2020, so we encourage you to
take advantage of the many options that are out there to ensure that your
OWS is not a mess in your next event!
Here's a brief summary of what is happening...
• Gators Indoor OWS Simulation... Join our club Head Coaching Team of Brian
Kozera and Logan Washburn on Monday 5/3 for what is a fun time and a
"better than you'd think" opportunity to work on key OWS skills indoors...
You can even try on your wetsuit!...

already up and running. FCR also offers their 6 event Tuesday evening OWS
Race Series that includes a 1/2 mile course. All activities take place in
the Schuylkill River in Norristown. The first race takes place on Tuesday
5/18... https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0b4ba9a729a0f85-fcrpool1

• Blue Marsh OWS is back! We have two planned Blue Marsh outings in May,
so mark your calendars for Saturday 5/15 and Saturday 5/29... Both dates
will include an OWS followed by a Cujo Loop bike ride. Note that the Dry
Brooks Day Use Area where we usually swim is closed for construction until
Memorial Day weekend, so we will swim in an alternate location that day
(more details coming soon!).
