PML Solicitors: Attached is the Commonwealth Court’s decision on the pre-emption of local firearm safety regulation, along with the concurring and dissenting opinions. The majority decision was amended with the addition of a final paragraph, acknowledging the harm that the absence of safety regulation is causing. The short, concurring opinion expresses the view that the Pa. Supreme Court should modify or reverse existing precedent, including the Ortiz case, to allow for a degree of local control in appropriate circumstances.
