To Bob Senter

Alaska Diesel

Thank you again for hosting me and a number of our fellow captains at your
recent Lugger and Northern Lights training. The training was of great value
to me and I came home with pages of notes and lists of things to check on my
engines.

I knew that Lugger engines were supposed to be the best but until this
seminar I didn't understand why. As a former steel fabricator I have a good
understanding of much of what Alaska Diesel accomplishes by replacing many
parts that are made of gauge metals with parts made of heavier steel plate
or castings. It is obvious even to the untrained eye that this makes a
stronger, more robust, and dependable engine. I also appreciate the
technical documentation that you provided on CDs. I am incorporating the
relevant portions in our ships documentation.

I encourage all other captains to attend one of your seminars when offered.
It is well worth the time and effort required.

Your generosity and depth of knowledge are truly appreciated. I look forward
to seeing you again at the Anacortes Trawlerfest.
