PROSPECTUS Event: The Sixth Annual Juried Art in the Garden 2009 Artist Invitational Date: August 1st & 2nd, 2009 Time: 9 AM to 6 PM Saturday & 10 AM to 4 PM Sunday Location: Enumclaw, WA Status: Juried Art Event Early Bird Application Deadline: April 1st, 2009 Requirements: All two and three dimensional artists interested in being juried for consideration as a participant please submit 3 examples of current work, 2 years old or less, on 4 x 6 photo or slide format, along with a SASE to: Arts Alive! Art in the Garden P.O. 442 Enumclaw, WA 98022. Artists that are juried in will be required to pay the $75.00 entry fee by April 1st, 2009. $100.00 entry fee after, if there are any openings. WHAT IS ART IN THE GARDEN? Art in the Garden is the brain child of artist Liz Reynolds. It is a way to raise funds for Arts Alive!, which in turn are put back into the arts community by way of grants. Who or what is Arts Alive!? It is an all volunteer, non-profit organization formed more than 25 years ago to raises funds to support the visual, literary and performing arts and artists on the Enumclaw Plateau as well as supporting programs in the Enumclaw / Black Diamond and Buckley School Districts. WHERE IS ART IN THE GARDEN? Art in the Garden is held in the beautiful gardens of Cathy Matson's home business of Country Garden Bouquets. This year's show coincides with the blooming of her perennial gardens. The first year of the show we had over 800 visitors in one day! The following years over 1000 people attended the show. This year's show will do as well or better. There are only 42 openings for the show. We try not to duplicate entries so that all artists' booths are unique. This gives all the artists more opportunities for sales.
