The next big event that counts for the NBC Cruising Fleet Champ and the NBC Cruising Fleet Sunday/Regatta Series is the HRYRA Sutherland Cup Regatta at Minisceongo this coming weekend (Sep 14-15). Two weeks later starts the back-to-back HRYRA events at Nyack: Sept 28 Hudson River Race, and Oct 5-6 Last Chance Regatta. And we might get a few Sunday races in as well.

There were no PHRF races at the NBC Fall Regatta this past weekend, however, four NBC boats traveled to the Shattemuc 135th Open Regatta. Joined by a couple local Shattemuc Cruising Fleet Friends, we raced in a field of 17 boats in three divisions (2 Spinnaker, 1 Non-Spinnaker), completing 17 races. Nyack members and fleet friends made up 4 out of 5 boats in the Non-Spinnaker Division.

For the entire weekend clear and sunny in the 70s, wind mostly from the northern quarter (NW to NE), anywhere from dead air to 12+ knots.
