GPS data for a magazine article?

Hey all -

I'm writing an article profiling a road ride from CB to Aspen via Cottonwood
and Independence. I know some of you have done this ride - either as part of
a longer ride or just this segment so if anyone has GPS data from this ride
or part of this ride, I'd love if you could send me a GPX file (or whatever
format you have it in). I didn't have a GPS when I did it.

I'm writing it as if people have a weekend or 3 days to do it and I'm
thinking  it will be a "credit card ride" and not a camping/lugging gear
ride so if anyone has suggestions for places to stay, things to do along the
way, good food stops, etc. I'd love to know what other folks do/how they
broke it up.

Thanks a ton. Look forward to getting out with y'all again soon.

Chris

Clearly a stop in Buena Vista is likjely to happen. Living in Salida, I have never hotel in BV (as the natives refer to it), but I have been fed (and watered) there.

Best food in BV - Asian Palette (Asian fusion and sushi)
Best watering hole - Eddyline Brewery (brew pub with good food and great beers)

I did some climbing with out-of-state friends around BV and instead of having them stay in a motel, I used VRBO and rented a 7-bedroom house on the slopes of Mount Columbia (just north of BV) called La Mancha.

I've done the CB - Cottonwood and Salida-Aspen road rides a number of times, but sorry - no GPS.

Let me know if I can be of any further help.
