Hi all,

Nicole Richardson and I made a few stops today and had the continuing
Orange-crowned Warbler at LaSalle in the lakeside scrub after the
boardwalk, as well as two Yellow-rumped Warblers at Windermere Basin in the
grasses along the water directly in front of the viewing area, near the
grate. They were associating together and moving along the water's edge,
calling every once in a while.

Happy birding!

Hi all,

Nicole Richardson and I stopped at a few spots this afternoon with the
highlights being:

At LaSalle:

  • Orange-crowned Warbler (in the lakeside scrub after the boardwalk)
  • 3 Golden-crowned Kinglets  (I usually have 4, but no luck with the fourth
    today)
  • Singing Carolina Wren
  • A flyover Cooper's Hawk was also nice

At Village Inn ponds:

  • 3 immature Bald Eagles
  • Another birder said he'd been seeing a Fox Sparrow reliably by the Laking
    Park roadway

At Windermere:

  • 2 Yellow-rumped Warblers (in the grasses along the stretch of water
directly in front of the viewing platform, by the grate)
  • 50 Northern Shovelers (76 at the Hamilton tollgate ponds)

Also a good number of Great Black-backed Gulls around the tollgate ponds
and the Red Hill ponds.

Happy birding!
Billi Krochuk
