I am very excited to present our final concerts for this academic year!  These concert feature epic, large scale works for Orchestra and Band.  It is a thrilling way to end our year, and wrap up my 10th year of teaching at TCC!

5/20:  Epic Conclusions, part 1
TCC Orchestra, John Falskow conductor
7:30 PM - FREE
TCC Building 2
FB Event:  https://www.facebook.com/events/569213183250060/

We’re playing Wagner’s Overture to Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, and Mahler’s Symphony No.1 - the Titan.  These works were composed for large orchestra.  What a sound!

5/27:  Epic Conclusions, part 2
TCC Symphonic Band, John Falskow conductor
7:30 PM - FREE
TCC Building 2
FB Event:  https://www.facebook.com/events/157535651316096/

The Symphonic Band is playing works by Standridge, Wagner, Mackey, and Orff.  Works by Standridge and Mackey are minimalist “groove” tunes.  The Wagner is a somber tribute to his musical hero.  We conclude the concert with a transcription of Carmina Burana - a massive work with ancient inspirations.

Please come!  We love making music, and we love to share our efforts with the public.

See you soon!
