Subject: Report From Onboard Jenny

Thursday, May 07, 2009 10:06:26 AM
Location: Georgetown
The boat position was not recorded.

This weather observation was taken on Thursday, May 07, 2009 9:51:00 AM
local time.
Observation location: Georgetown.
Observation position was not recorded.
The air temperature is 80,  and water temperature is 75 degrees fahrenheit.
The forecast is Sunny.
The current weather is dry.
The sky is clear or a few clouds.
The wind is 5 knots from the southeast.
The visibility is 12 nautical miles.
The wave height is 0 feet with 0 foot swells.
The barometer is 1021 millibars and rising.

This morning I dove on the bottom to get her ready for another move.

It was nice and clean, with only a few barnicles that I had probably missed
the last time.  The propeller was all clean and the Barnicle Buster
continues to do its job.  However, it is wearing off along the edges.

The last few days have been a little rugged with the divorce sinking

in.  It is pretty hard to have a bad day in Georgetown, Bahamas, but I am
proof that you can.  Yesterday was better and I may have bottomed out.  I
gave Nicholas a shorty haircut yesterday to keep him cool and manage the
amount of sand he drags back to Jenny.  He loves running on the beach, but
is a sand magnet.  He gets a hose down every time we return, but still
carries some with him.

Tomorrow we have an excellent calm day and plan to go up to Staniel

Cay.  It is only abut 55 miles away and we may not even need the birds in
the water.  There is supposed to be good snorkling there and a famous blue
hole that was used in the Bond movie Thunderball.  I plan to stay there a
week or two and really soak up the beauty of this place.  I can see why
people flock here from the NE for the winter.  As long as you don't need the
stimulation of a real city, it is very comfortable and beautiful here.

My cousin Chris and his son Bennett are flying into Nassau on June 3

to crew for the passage to Brunswick.  If the weather that week is like it
is this week, we will have a nice 3 day passage directly there.  My friends
in Spirit and Catching Up are still in St. Thomas, and plan to blow through
the Bahamas on a direct run to Brunswick.  They need to be there by the 22nd
so they will be getting in before I do.

Once in Brunswick, I will need to arrange a flight to Detroit to

pick up the moto and drive it back to Laura's in Florida.  I'm in the
process of changing my residency to her home and will have the bike
registered there.  I will visit Chris on the way back and maybe my son Derek
too, depending on their move status.  They are moving from Nashville TN to
Sarasota, FL. right around that time.  So, all the kids will be on the west
coast of Florida soon.

I've got a good book to read and am chilling out. Nicholas is

snoozing at my side.  All is good.
