After viewing the cattle egret at the Portland Fairgrounds this afternoon, I
went to Wagunk Meadows for the first time. I was greeted by waves of
yellow-rumped warblers as I descended to the lowlands beside the river. At
times I easily had ten to fifteen YRWAs in one setting. Saw a handful of
palms and a pair of gnatcatchers, too.

Speaking of Wangunk Meadows.  This would be a good spot to document bird sightings from in eBird.  It is one of those spots like the Laurel Marsh in Manchester, that should probably be an Important Bird Area, but for which there aren't quite enough data to support a good nomination.
