Fathom 40 trawlers were designed by the well respected naval architect Greg
Marshall, and built in the Pacific northwest (they are currently being
built in Canada by Park Isle Marine, where a new comparable vessel is
almost $1,000,000).

The spacious interior, huge pilothouse, well thought out flybridge with a
full second helm, and aft deck with a fold down transom make her a pleasure
to cruise. Sea Venture is well equipped, well maintained, and ready to go
on new adventures. The standard 426 hp Cummins common rail engine powers
the boat economically (3 gph at 7 knots) and runs at a maximum speed of 15
knots. Hydraulic stabilizers ensure a smooth ride. She offers both bow and
stern thrusters to aid in docking. The bottom  was painted with Petit
Trinidad in 2020, all exterior zincs have been just changed, and there are
new oil and filters for the engine and generator. If you prefer to anchor,
a high quality stainless anchor on a roller, with 180 feet of chain and a
windlass are at your disposal.

For traveling to shore, a Walker Bay 310 console style dinghy with a 20 hp
electric start Honda stows on the top deck and is launched with an electric
crane.

Additional features include a combo washer/dryer, ice-maker, satellite
television, and 3 zone AC/heat. The galley features an electric stove/oven,
microwave, and 9 cf front opening Norcool AC/DC refrigerator, which can all
be powered by the Northern Lights 9 kw generator, an inverter, and a huge
660 amp/hr Lifeline AGM battery bank.

There is plenty of storage: in the aft deck lazarette, 3 aft deck cabinets,
a roomy “garage” below the aft outside stairs to the flybridge (the
“garage” leads to the engine room), and a huge “basement” below the main
salon, accessed under the stairs to the staterooms. The galley, head and
staterooms  provide additional storage.

The head offers a Tecma electric toilet, a 45 gallon fiberglass holding
tank with electronic monitor, and a stall shower with a glass door. Water
is supplied by 2 65 gallon tanks, and a whole boat twin filter is
installed.

The raised pilothouse has a comfortable helm, fitted with an extensive
display of electronics (detailed below), a chart table and wraparound
settee with table, all with 270 degree views and convenient deck access.

In the main cabin, a huge dinette and table are to port (convertible to a
king berth), and 2 comfortable armchairs (with storage underneath) are to
starboard. Custom upholstery on the armchairs complements the buff color of
the settees. A wall mounted Roku TV, with a CD player and Bose soundbar
(with additional bluetooth input) are there for your entertainment. A mast
mounted TV antenna, KVH (m3) satellite TV antenna, wifi  Island Time
“Bullet” amplification system, and router are there to help with your
electronic connectivity.

Relax in the centerline walk around berth in the main stateroom. There are
drawers and extra storage space under, as well as ventilation from AC or an
overhead hatch and 2 ports, a fan, TV,  and large closet. The second
stateroom has a comfortable bed, a closet, TV, and drawers. Excellent
lighting is present throughout the yacht.
