Caution!!:
Before reading further, strap your jaw closed with a nectie or belt ,or rest
your chin in  your hand.....otherwise it will drop like a rock the way mine
did and possibly damage your keyboard... or chin.....leave enough slack for
laughter or curses, depending on your mood....

The EPA proclaims at http://www.epa.gov/otaq/marine.htm

"...Diesel boats and ships, which range in size and application from small
recreational runabouts to large ocean-going vessels, are significant
contributors to air pollution in many of our nation's cities and ports. .." (I'd love to
see the "facts" behind that statement.)

(What poluting recreational craft is  pictured at the top of the EPA site? Is
this offending craft owned by a T&T listee? Can we blame the innocent and
make fun of this make from now on??)

The site continues:..." Although marine diesel engines being produced today
must meet relatively modest emission requirements, they continue to emit large
amounts of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM), both of which
contribute to serious public health problems.."

(Please tell me a Republican didn't write that!!!!)

The CFR for diesels under and over 37 KW  may be found further down the page.
I haven't yet worked up the courage to read it...maybe tomorrow during
coffee....

Is that my tax dollar supporting this? I hope not....

Crying real tears,
