Yep, the Mexicans talk about it all the time as well as a land bridge from the Sea of Cortez across the Baja peninsula to midway along the Baja Pacific coast. That's what it is right now......all talk. I doubt it will happen in my lifetime. We're headed out to the SOC islands for a week or so. Beautiful cruising weather here.
