John, Last time this happened to me it was a non sealing top gasket on the raw water filter top. Try a vasaline or silicone seal to get you going until a new gasket made if this is the cause. In the meantime; Fill the filter with water and give it a few squirts of Dawn or some similar dishwashing liquid, that way if it does run out again the impeller will be lubed. Carl Hibbard
