You are invited to come celebrate the move to Tacoma of the Arts & Crafts Press!
Saturday, November 22nd, 2014, 1 to 6 pm
2515-B S. Tacoma Way, Tacoma WA 98409
The Arts & Crafts Press moved into the historic 1929 "Tillicum Toy Company" building on South Tacoma Way. We're excited to have our printery, Yoshiko's blockprint studio, and a small showroom where you can browse and shop from our collection of note cards, prints, books, mugs, and tiles based on Yoshiko's designs.
Come enjoy hot apple cider and refreshments and see our antique printing presses dating from the 1890s to the 1950s. You can enjoy local microbrew beer by Wingman Brewers (provided thanks to Spaceworks of Tacoma) and a few delicious nibblies catered by Yellow Bird Catering.
During your visit, you can try your hands at printing on one of our presses, but be warned, you might catch the printing bug (like we did 20 years ago)! It is highly contagious!

The Arts & Crafts Press is a proud graduate of the Spaceworks Tacoma Creative Enterprise program, where we went through a series of small business workshops and received marketing support. Spaceworks Tacoma is a joint initiative of the City of Tacoma and the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber designed to activate empty storefronts and vacant space in Tacoma. The initiative makes low-cost temporary space, training, and technical assistance available to artists, creative entrepreneurs, organizations, and community groups who are transforming Tacoma into a stronger, more active city.
