I am the owner/moderator of a Yahoo groups that is non boat related. The moderator can approve all posts before they are posted for appropriateness to the group if he wishes. The moderator can allow non members to read but not post if he wishes. The moderator/owner has a lot of options and disgression. I guess the owner of the Nordhavn group does not want to do this. It's his list and he can do whatever he wants. The Willard list is open to everyone. The Willard list owner will delete posts and ban members when they are nothing more than spam.
