Sound proofing products

I am looking at sound deadening material for my engine room (twin 120 Lehmans in a 42 Grand Banks Classic).
I bought 6 square feet (1 inch thick) of sailorsolutions to try.
http://www.sailorssolutions.com/?page=ProductDetails&Item=SPM06
My engine room has stringer exactly 12 inches apart and this product installed great;  Sailorssolutions has a sticky back and fits perfectly without cutting but is on the expensive side (I think).
But I am also looking at Soundown.  I have read much of the Soundown website and it does not help me much.  I have run into two different materials from Soundown on amazon:
Soundown IAF10MNSFT12; Acoustic Foam 1 X 32 X 54  about $67 USD Soundown IVF1010MNSFT12 INSULATION BARRIER 1 x 32 x 54        about $119 USD
two questions:
Anyone have any opinions on which to get  .. (I assume the more expensive would work better)?
Also, I would like to just glue (spray adhesive) the product to the ceiling of my engine room (like I did with sailorssolutions sticky backed "tiles") and not use screws or Soundown's "pins".  anyone have success with Soundown holding up with only spay adhesive glue?
For me, it is coming down to cost versus performance versus ease of install..  for ease of install, sailorssolution sure is easy... but I am not sure how it compares with Soundown for sound proofing...

I put Sundown under the bridge deck (ceiling of the engine room) on the
Tiara 3300 I used to have. Twin 454 crusaders. It made a big difference in
high frequency noise at the helm ( standing on top of them basically). I
think it would be much less effective at lower frequencies common to NA
diesels but would expect it to help with turbo whine for TA'D engines.
