The Arts & Cultural Vitality Divisionhttps://tacoma.gov/government/departments/arts-cultural-vitality/ of the City of Tacoma is currently seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative individual for the position of Tacoma Creates Program Assistant!
The person in this position will provide essential administrative support for the Tacoma Createshttp://www.tacomacreates.org/ program, including the day-to-day management of cultural funding contracts and related programs that support Tacoma's vibrant cultural sector. They will have strong data and project management skills, to support contract compliance, creating and managing registration processes, and tracking overlapping processes and deadlines; they will also have communications skills necessary to develop and implement public-facing communications, including social media, websites, and newsletters. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly organized and enjoys working with logistical details and data; someone likes working closely with a small and dynamic team, doing the back-end work that supports strong programming in the community, and someone who brings an equity lens and critical thinking to their work. This is a full-time position that is generally in the office 3 days/week and remote 2 days/week.
