We have found that pilothouses well aft and sleeping accomidations either slightly foreward or slightly aft of this location gives the best motion and comfortable ride. In heavy winds and seas, we ended up the center of the boat, down below the waterline, and found that the only tennable location. Along with lee cloths on a settee, this made a comfortable single bunk. The aft pilot house and center main stateroom are a couple of the reasons I would seriously consider the Nordhavn 62 for a passagemaking trawler.
