Selden Island:
Botany, Birding, and History
Sat., June 19 9AM - 12PM
Join a historian, a botanist, and a birder as CAS takes a cruise along the Connecticut River to visit Selden Island. This is the largest island on the River and in Connecticut waters; both the river and the island rich in history. The trip provides the opportunity to learn about local botany, geology, history, and ornithology while hiking the island. Perhaps you'll be lucky enough to see some of Connecticut's resident Bald Eagles en route. Fee: $45. Call 1-800-996-8747 for reservations.
