7: to 7:45 PM: nobody on Osprey nest, but lots of action on the Great Blue Heron nest, as noted below. Three chicks! I believe NH Summer Count only had 2.
A couple of photos on the ebird report, and, if we're lucky, the following link to a video should work for anyone, even if not on FB:

I think two working Baltimore Oriole nests around there too.

Waite bridge & causeway Lake Whitney, New Haven, Connecticut, US

Protocol: Stationary
Comments: With Mary Porterfield & another couple who walked up while we were there, Anita & Ed, I think.
8 species
Great Blue Heron 6 Three chicks in the nest. One adult feeding & generally guarding. A second around, but a third would hang around and get scared off, finally fairly seriously chased away. A GBHE dogfight is a sight to see.
I think you can see all three in the shots below, but I got some film, & they were clearly visible.
Osprey 1 Flying over. Nest was empty while we were there.
Chimney Swift 7
Warbling Vireo 1
Tree Swallow 2
Barn Swallow 2 Likely several more.
Song Sparrow 1
Baltimore Oriole 1 Mary saw Male this morning same spot. Nest in Elm Tree, where they usually nest.
(The nest on Gordon previously reported is still there, but we didn't see activity in the brief time there.)
