"Would any of you older GB owners know where to buy replacement windscreen
wiper arms. The pot metal socket has wiped on one of ours and I'd like to
replace both."

REPLY:
Older - who, me or the old boat?  My younger brother, Jim has an older
(1983), plastic (remember me, the founder of Wooden Boats Forever (WBF)?)
GB-42; maybe that makes him an "older GB owner."  Yeah, that's it, he's an
older owner - HA!  But my 1972 GB is even more mature, plus I personally am
older and wiser, plus I've had my boat 17 years now and have replaced almost
everything once - some things twice.

In order to replace the wiper arms, I ended up replacing the old wiper
motors with their non-standard and corroded shafts with American-made
standard motors.  Got to get motors with adjustable arcs.  Then I found the
possibilities for wiper arm replacement to be endless at auto parts houses.
I found a stainless type someplace.  Grease the socket with wheel-bearing
grease or some such goo before you assemble it to the motor's splined shaft.

This saves Jim asking how to do this next year on his "new" boat.:-))

Hi Rich............A boot that varies in width tends to make a boat look
shorter than a nice bold parallel line........
