Boy am I glad the list is back! Dana Volunteers needed for The USA PRO CHALLENGE, Monarch Mountain stage finish! The Monarch Mountain Stage of the USA Pro Challenge needs volunteers to help make this exciting event a reality! We are looking for volunteers both in Salida and up at Monarch Mountain on Wednesday, August 20th. If you have a few hours or a whole day we'd love to have your help, shifts are available for all schedules! Salida We are in need of Course Marshals for the section of the race passing through the City of Salida. These positions will help the Salida Police department man the road closures for a few hours while the race travels a double loop through town. If you don't have a full day to volunteer, but would still like to help out, this is the position for you! Volunteers need to be available for all day as Hwy 50 will be closed and access to the event will be via a free Volunteer shuttle bus. Our goal is to have enough volunteers to run two shifts of each job so that you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities before or after your shift. Security: Assist tour security staff with access-control on course, hospitality, awards podium, green room and press conference. Hospitality: Assist Hospitality staff with set up and breakdown of VIP tent. Also including entrance monitoring and guest services for VIP guests. Ambassadors: Provide information and directions to spectators; should be knowledgeable about race venue and the community. Beer Servers: Volunteers needed to man the beer tents, checking IDs, taking money and pouring beer. Liquor Boundary: Volunteers needed to monitor the liquor boundary entrances.
