New member introductions: Xiaohan DU and Yangbo ZHOU

Dear friends of the Society for Song, Yuan, and Conquest Dynasties
Studies,
Hope you are doing well! Happy Lunar New Year to those of you who
celebrate!
In my capacity as the secretary of the society, please allow me to
introduce two
new members of the listserv, Dr. Xiaohan DU 杜曉晗 and Dr. Yangbo ZHOU 周揚波.
Please see their self introductions below. Welcome, Xiaohan and Yangbo!

Xiaohan Du:
My name is Xiaohan Du 杜曉晗, from Yanzhou 兗州, Shandong province; I got my
PhD in East Asian art history from Columbia University in June 2021,
with a dissertation titled "Yishan Yining (1247-1317) and the
Development of Zen Calligraphy in Medieval Japan"(available on
ProQuest). Currently I am a postdoc fellow with the Asian Art department
at Metropolitan Museum of Art. 
My research interests include history of calligraphy in East Asia,
Sino-Japanese exchanges in ancient and medieval periods, Chan/Zen
Buddhist art as a transcultural/interregional phenomenon in the "East
Asian Mediterranean" during the 12th-14th centuries, the dynamic between
"Chineseness" and "Japaneseness" (wakan 和漢) in the production of art and
its reception. 

Yangbo Zhou:
I’m a visiting scholar to Harvard University during Feb. 2022 to Jan.
2023,from department of history in Suzhou University of Science and
Technology,China. I got Doctor Degree from department of history in
 Zhejiang University,Jun. 2005.From then on,my research interest have
been focusing on the sociocultural history of Song Dynasty.My doctoral
dissertation,Research on the Association of Gentry in Song
Dynasty(Zhonghua Book Company,2008), concerns about the collective
effect of elites in Song Dynasty acting in unofficial identities. I have
also authored several articles and books about the history of clan,
thought and education in Song dynasty.Now I’m writing a book about
Children’s education and life in Song Dynasty.
