Judging from the story at:

Ken Williams may want to stop at Dutch Harbor on his Great Siberian Sushi Run.

Just keep Shelby away from that teacup Chihuahua.

Thanks Chris. That's an interesting article on Dutch Harbor. I'll report
back, when we get there, on what we find.
Thus far, it seems to be working in our favor that Dutch Harbor is a little
off the beaten path. Everyone I've spoken with, the Coast Guard included,
has gone way out of their way to be helpful. The people who live in the
Aleutians may not be huge in number, but all I've spoken with have been very
excited about this opportunity to introduce us to their region. It is
awesome to speak with Harbor Masters who eagerly return calls, and happily
shuffle boats to find room for us.
Did you know that Dutch Harbor was bombed during WWII? I'm not much of a
history guy, so all of this is new to me. Many of the buildings, camps,
planes, subs, ammo and more are sitting on islands that almost no one has
visited since the war ended. Here's photos of a few of the items left
behind: http://www.kensblog.com/aspx/m/499241
Also: I don't know if we'll do any fishing.. but, a commercial fisherman
from Kodiak sent me this picture of a 462 pound Halibut he caught in the
Aleutians: http://www.kensblog.com/uploads/16765/bigfish.jpg
It's going to be an amazing trip! (if only the weather gods will agree not
to mess with us too much).

PS I'm not telling Shelby about the Chihuahua...
