Impellar Replacement --easy and CHEAP

In my experience, forget the expensive pullers and fancy lubricants.

When  installing the impeller coat the splines , liberally with  water
proof grease , such as  NEVER SEIZE, get it at any auto store. As
suggested  use a wire tie to compress the blades or a hose clamp.
Coat the blades with plain old liquid soap or detergent and slip it in.
Makes clean up down right --- clean.

Pull the impeller with a small pair of needle nose VISE GRIPS.

This method has worked for me for  a little over 35 yrs. YMMV
