He called me on his cell as he was in the area to hunt deer. He went back about an hour later and called to say it was no longer visible with binoculars from the road. From Gina Nichol: 12/04/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- afternoon; an afternoon walk at Meig's Point yielded 3 COMMON EIDERS; two just offshore below the observation platform and one adult male sitting on the rocks at the end of the Moraine Trail. Also at the end of the Moraine Trail were 32 SNOW BUNTINGS.
