NCL Board: Quick Update and Meeting Check - Response Needed

Colleagues,

My apologies for the silence from the NCL president's office. I've been totally swamped with a variety of things since our meetings in early October, and am way behind on all things NCL.

A quick update:

  • Judy Mortrude and I visited with Senator Cochran last Thursday and gave him his award. He was both charming and charmed. We also had a good chance to chat with his education LA, which allowed us to build on the meeting that Rachel DeVaughan from MS had with her during the COABE Hill Day. The Senate photographer was on hand, so I'll have pictorial evidence to share soon.

  • The redoubtable Judy Mortrude and I will be visiting with Congresswoman DeLauro this afternoon at the request of her office. Stay tuned for report on that.

Meeting check:

Our next board meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, Nov 15, 10-11:30 AM. I seem to recall that some of you have a scheduling conflict. Please let me know right away whether or not you'll be able to attend. If there are enough conflicts, I'll try to figure out a different day/time.

Thanks!

Deborah

Hi Deborah,
I’m so glad you had a fruitful meeting with Sen. Cochran.
I have commitments from 10:30 to 4:00 next Wednesday, so I won’t be able to attend our meeting as scheduled.
Sorry, but since the AAACE conference planning is over, I look forward to being able to participate more diligently with the NCL.
