Dawgs:
The CDC is now recommending fully vaccinated Americans return to wearing masks in indoor spaces in communities where coronavirus transmission is substantial or high. The most important thing that the CDC said yesterday is that fully vaccinated people can get infected with Delta, carry it in high amounts in their airways, and potentially transmit it to other people. According to CDC's Tracking link, CDC COVID Data Trackerhttps://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view, Ventura County where our next event - Ryder Cup 2021 would be held, has a "Substantial" Level of Community Transmission this week, with new cases arisen rate of 71.9% from the previous week.
Our RC event is almost four weeks away, and I hope that with this latest CDC Guidelines and State of California's Indoor Mask Requirement, the Covid's Spreading Trend will be mitigated and under control.
I personally believe that everyone has the right to vaccinate or not vaccinate. RD Committee Members will never ask any of the members whether they got inoculated with the vaccine. Personally, I have known a friend who recently tested positive for Covid19 despite having two doses of vaccines. Therefore, until the spreading is under control and the transmission level in Los Angeles & Ventura reduce to a "Moderate or Low" Level, we would recommend that all dawgs wear masks at all times while indoor. Vaccines are still doing a very good job at preventing severe disease, hospitalization, and death. Honestly, I probably will cut back a little bit on indoor social things where I don’t know whether people are vaccinated. That will just make me feel more personally comfortable. But it’s an individual decision for everyone.
And if you come to close contact with someone that might have Covid or is not feeling well, please get yourself a test. There are plenty of Covid 19 Testing & Vaccination sites all over Los Angeles County and the testing results will be available to you within days, not weeks. Below are the recommendations I copied from Los Angeles County's Public Health website.
EVERYONE*, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask:

Stay safe and please reach out to me or any of the RD Committee Members for any questions or concerns. I look forward to see you at the Hills this weekend or, until we tee up at the next RD event in Lompoc next month.

EVERYONE*, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask:
In all indoor public settings, venues, gatherings, and public and private businesses in Los Angeles County
On planes, trains, buses, ferries, taxis and ride-shares, and all other forms of public transport
In transportation hubs like airports, bus terminals, train stations, marinas, seaports or other ports, subway stations, or any other area that provides transportation
Healthcare settings (including long-term care facilities)
State and local correctional facilities and detention centers
Shelters and cooling centers
Indoors at any youth-serving facility (such as K-12 schools, childcare, day camps, etc.)
In any outdoor location where it is the policy of the business or venue
Recommendations
It is strongly recommended that you wear a mask at private indoor social gatherings with people outside your household, unless everyone at the gathering is fully vaccinated.
It is strongly recommended that you wear a mask at large outdoor ticketed events when you are not in your seat. For example, while in line to enter, exit, use the bathroom, or buy food, or drinks.
If you are not fully vaccinated, it is strongly recommended that you wear a mask in crowded outdoor settings.
If you are in a setting where you are in sustained close contact with other people who may not be fully vaccinated, consider wearing a higher level of protection, such as wearing two masks (double masking) or a respirator (e.g., N95 or KN95). This is especially important if you are not fully vaccinated and are in an indoor or crowded outdoor setting.
Stay safe and please reach out to me or any of the RD Committee Members for any questions or concerns. I look forward to see you at the Hills this weekend or, until we tee up at the next RD event in Lompoc next month.
