The Tacoma Arts Commission is working with Americans for the Arts to conduct a national survey (Arts & Economic Prosperity IV) of the economic impact of the nonprofit arts and culture industry here in Tacoma. Our findings will be compiled with the findings of 200 other cities to understand the key role the nonprofit arts industry plays in strengthening local economies. We need to compile a list of all non-profit arts and culture organizations within the city of Tacoma. We are especially looking for smaller organizations that are based-in and/or primarily serve Tacoma. The organization can be unincorporated; it does not need to have it's own official 501(c)3 status. Basically, we are looking for all arts and culture organizations or program except for for-profit businesses.
