Re-gluing vinyl

The adhesive will have to be capable of strongly
adhering to the vinyl (and the wood) and setting within a minute or so,
but
not instantaneously. Easy clean -up would also be welcome.

REPLY:  Bill,  I have installed 3 headliners and reattached another using
the 3M
#90 Spray glue available at any HOME DEPOT.  It is in a black can with
green lettering.
It will give you about 5 minutes working time after you spray both
pieces.  Its spray is adjustable
and should be held about 12" away from your working surface if possible.
Over spray can
be easily removed with Xylene or mineral spirits.  Its the beat product
for the job.  For best
results put plastic on the walls and mask off the edges of the ceiling.
