12/13/14 - Haddam, Haddam Meadows -- Norther Shrike seen along trail
north of boat ramp seen by 6 people with a brief but close look. It
just flew across the river.

From Lynnette Clemens and Fulvio Montanari:
12/13/14 - Norwalk, Seaview Ave, Mill Pond -- 1 Eurasian Widgeon, 2
Cackling Geese.
Park behind Senior Center -- Northern Shoveler.

12/13/14 - Old Lyme, end of Ferry Rd, DEEP marine headquarters --
Yellow-breasted Chat by the rest rooms.
Chester, near the ferry crossing -- Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.

12/13/14 - New Haven, Edgewood Park -- 12:10 PM; At least 6 RUSTY
BLACKBIRDS (in a mixed flock with Robins and Blue Jays) feeding in the
tangles along the east side of the river by the field with the swallow
nest boxes.

12/13/14 - Stonington, Stonington Point and Harbor -- 2 Black Scoter
and 35 Common Eider.
Mystic, Enders Island -- 1 Black Scoter, 75 Common Eider, and 1
Red-necked Grebe.  Also there were about 30 Harbor Seals hauled out on
the rocks.
Groton, Eastern and Avery Point -- 16 Common Eider and 1 first cycle
Lesser Black-backed Gull.
Waterford, Harkness State Park -- 1 Northern Gannet, 100+ Common
Eider, and 12 Snow Buntings.

12/12/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- 2 Common Eider (both
females, off the breakwater near pavilion), 9 Purple Sandpiper (on
breakwater and nearby beach), 1 Peregrine Falcon.

12/12/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- Purple Sandpipers on the
breakwater and the beach just to the right.
