While I agree with most of the previous comments, it still does not excuse
anyone that takes remuneration for services rendered from doing the job
correctly. I was in the recreational service industry for 15 years. In that
time I built a business dedicated to provideing the absolute best service
available. I saw others in the same business that were just in it for the
money come and go and listened to stories from our customers about some of
the other outfits that were substandard. After awhile we had to stop
advertiseing because we couldn't accomadate everyone and still provide the
best service. Our return rate was almost 90 percent. A few times in those
years, I lost money trying to give the best possible service but I felt like
it would come back to me in the end, and it did, several fold. I asked for a
50% refundable deposit upfront before i would put them on my schedule. In
exchange, i gave a 100%  garrantee that They would be satisfied. I never had
to make good on that. The people I worked for had lots of money but I only
saw guys looking for the best they could get, and I tried my best to provide
it. I have retired due to some unfortunate occurences but still think we
gave 100% and got back 1000%. If you do good work and treat people honestly
you can succeed. The lesser guys won't be in it long. It seems like these
days so many people are just out for the money that it's hard to find good
service. Hell, walmart's not even the same anymore. Back when Sam was alive
he had a good idea- give the best, no matter what. He made a fortune, and he
slept good at night. So do I.
