Where are the PUPs

I found it expensive to contribute to PUP once we left the US.  My SatPhone
bill ran anywhere from 200 to 400 a month and that was with very little use.
After a few big bills I found myself using it for weather only.  We would
find internet every few weeks and then spend lots of time catching up.

Also, for many, the value of posting is reduced by the responses that one
must endure.  If I say my boat doesn't steer a straight course and have to
endure Jim Leishman telling me I' wrong, well most people don't have a thick
enough skin to endure that crap.  So, the easy/safe thing to do is just read
and keep your comments to yourself.  Besides, anytime you post something
others think your bragging or inflating your ego, so again, why bother?

Email, as a forum for this kind of thing is really bad.  It's much too easy
to misinterpret someones point because you read what you want to see rather
than hear what someone was trying to say.

Anyway, enough of that, off to the boat!
