NOte: Frank Mantlik posted this on CTBirds today. Be alert!
I just wanted to share the news of New Jersey's first Neotropic
Cormorant on a pond in Clinton, NJ, first reported two days ago, and
still being seen today. Ct birders should study up the field marks,
and be on the lookout for this species. Areas that are worth checking
include freshwater lakes and reservoirs such as Lake Whitney in
Hamden, site of the state's last Anhinga (2011). Happy hunting.
