Hello all,

I am in the process of moving and I also am traveling a bit for work this
month.  What we need to do for this event on Oct 26 is to 1)  Find a
location  (may have a lead for a ballroom)  2)  Determine entertainment

Regarding the art pieces for $4 (which supports the next event) we have some
leftover from the last monk where there weren't many there so some left.  I
will put these together and see, it maybe a mismatched group of stuff but
that is NOT every compelling to say the least.  What we can do is just sell
those on the side and create 100 of something new and very Halloweeny.  I
have to say many of the latest art works are not at the level we once had,
so they aren't selling which means there is no money for postcards.

When I turn the event over to someone else, I will need the input of Lynn.
The new person will need to create a website and organize the events and
advertise and it is totally volunteer.  The money from the art pieces takes
care of the website, the other needs.

ok, hit reply all with ideas etc.  Thanks  Sue

If we have an venue with a suitable outdoor area, I would be willing to spin
fire again.  I currently have fire orb, poi, staff, fans and hula hoop ...
While fire can be done indoors safely in the right venue with the right
precautions, It's still a bit risky.  Then again, we may draw a bigger
crowed with a musical act.

One thought I had when thinking of art projects was some sort of glass
project (not blown, I don't have that skill) either fusing photographs or
etching.

my thought was a wine glass or mason jar mug that people would use that
night to drink wine from and then take home.

I'm wondering if we could come up with a stencil for glass etching (either
chemical or with etching) to commemorate the "big monkey event"?

Thoughts?
