How are we doing? Is the List serving a purpose? Is it informative?
Entertaining? Even inspiring?
How can we improve?

Georgs:
This list is far and away the most valuable resource I've encountered since
we embarked on our trawler lifestyle a little over a year ago. As far as
content, I don't see how it could be any better.
Administratively, there are a couple of things that would be great
improvements.
As a digest subscriber/website reader, I would like to be able to
respond to a message directly from the samurai.com site and be able to
stay in the thread. As it is right now, just copying a subject header
starts a new thread and contributes to disorganization. With the number of
current posts, this is becoming a big issue. It used to be possible with
the old list format.
There's a huge amount of great info buried in the archives. A search
capability (with advanced search options) for the archives, accessible from
the website, would be terrific. It used to be really easy with Google, but
now the results usually turn up a huge compiled monthly .TXT file that is
very cumbersome to scan. The former individually-archived way was much more
convenient.
Many thanks for your superb efforts.

It seems the e-mail addresses of the listeees is available to those who use
it for unwanted purposes i.e. spam, spreading viruses etc. I suspect this is
because the archives is open to the public. If this door were shut we all
may be a little better off.
Thanks for all the good things about the list

Georgs,
As far as I am concerned the list is one of few really useful tools on the
web. We are learning an enormous amount about trawlering before purchasing
our first and already saved ourselves no small amount of money and suffering
thanks to the many contributors on the list. I read everything and think
every single member has something to offer. Even the unanswered questions
prompt new thinking for Claudette and I. For me, the TWL is some of the
promise of the web fulfilled.
I'd like to know if anyone thinks a "Get acquainted" section makes any sense
where we could post some short bios about ourselves? Does anyone think this
has any merit?
Otherwise, keep on truckin! No..., wait..., trawerlin!
