We will be heading up the Tenn-Tom from Mobile and then east across the
Tennessee River during late March and early April.  Is there a source that
offers max current predictions for various locations at that time of year?

Here are several that I use. They don't provide current, rather river stages
and dam releases.

Demopolis Yacht Basin website. Read Fred's comments on the river and then go
to the links that he provides.
USACOE, Mobile District. Select Water Management.
TVA. Select River Management and then Reservoir Information.
NOAA's National Weather Service. Select Water.
