Rainier League of Arts presents a juried art show, "People and Their Cultures" from Jan. 2nd to Feb. 28th, 2013 at Catholic Com. Services located at 1323 S. Yakima Ave. Tacoma, WA. Show is open Monday, Tues, Wed. Friday from 8AM-5PM and Thursday from 8AM-8PM. Fred Oldfield founder of Rainier League of Art will jury this show. Fred has the Fred Oldfield Western Heritage Center at the Puyallup Fair grounds where they teach art to children and adults during the year. Photo is Paul Langston's painting, Farmland. Paul is from Auburn, WA and just one of the artists in this show.
This art show is juried also by Mayor Strickland, The Tacoma Art Commission and the Washington State Historical Society. Art in the show will depict people of different nationalities and buildings and historical scenes from our culture. There are 30 paintings and 3 sculptures in this event.
