Seeing all these postings about bears and cormorants lately reminds me
that:
The common cormorant or shag
Lays eggs inside a paper bag
The reason you will see no doubt
It is to keep the lightning out.
But what these unobservant birds
Have never noticed, is that herds
Of wandering bears will come with buns
And steal the bags to hold the crumbs.
Clearly keeping a bear on your boat, together with an adequate supply of
buns, will solve the incontinent cormorant problem (and provide the
necessary trawler-related content for this note).
