Visited the Mackenzie Reservoir yesterday evening before the big
storms and there wasn't much, best birds being a single Pec Sand and 6
Green-winged Teal. This morning there was a Solitary Sandpiper, Gr
Yellowlegs, 2 Lr Yellowlegs, and a Spotted Sand along with a couple
dozen Killdeer; the GW Teal increased to 9 birds.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park (that's a mouthful) wasn't too
birdy this morning but there were 7 warbler species highlighted by a
Yellow Warbler and 6 sparrow species highlighted by 2 Lincoln's
Sparrows.

The Yellow Warbler was feeding in tall weeds and goldenrods, which is
typical of the late-season Yellows I've seen before.

Also, a Merlin was perched atop a tall spruce in the cemetery on
Center Street in Wallingford.

From Nick Bonomo:

10/4 - Wallingford, Vietnam Vets Mem Park -- 2 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS,
YELLOW WARBLER
Wallingford, Mackenzie Reservoir -- SOLITARY SANDPIPER
10/3 - Wallingford, Mackenzie Reservoir -- PECTORAL SANDPIPER
