Hi there;
Over the past 10 days, the number of Common Redpolls have been
increasing dramatically. This morning had the biggest number so far with
approx. 200-250 individuals. Included in this group were 3 Hoary
Redpolls that stood out like a sore thumb compared to the rest. They
were so frosty looking that it almost appeared that they had just rolled
in the snow. Since this is the first Hoary Redpolls at our feeder I
thought this note might give a heads up to others in the birding world.
