The EnviroHouse is a permanent model home environment promoting green building and sustainable lifestyles. ARTWORK DESIRED Functional art, 2-D and 3-D art is desired for display. All artwork must include a minimum of 75% recycled, salvaged or "found" materials. * 2-dimensional artwork All 2-D artwork must be prepared for immediate installation. Artists must provide appropriate hanging cleats, wires, and/or frames. The EnviroHouse staff will direct the installation of the exhibit and will provide standard hanging hooks. * 3-dimensional artwork All 3-D artwork must be prepared for immediate installation. Sculpture selection criterion includes size, suitability for the display environment and safe locations for installation. * Functional artwork Examples include furnishings (lamps, tables, coat stands, chairs), accessories (pottery, weavings, wood carvings, bowls) wearable art (clothing, purses, jewelry) and more. Work is displayed in-situ. Selection, exhibition and promotion A panel of representatives from the funding partners of the EnviroHouse will select artists and pieces to be on display for a period of three months. Artists may be selected for a solo show or as part of a group show. A "Meet the Artist" reception is held early in the cycle with standard media promotion provided. The City provides a secure environment but does not assume liability for artwork on display. A Hold Harmless Agreement must be signed prior to display.
