So I had my days mixed up it seems and I'm living in the future. Tomorrow is the start of count period and not today. My apologies! But the bird is still around so that's the good news. Around 7:55 the bird flew over tree line to the West of the Spruce. I never saw it land but I'm sure it's still in the general area.

Arrived at 9:15.  First heard the Solitaire calling briefly at 10 on the west side of Valleywood Road, roughly behind #76.  At 10:15 it appeared near the top of a deciduous tree on the east side of Valleywood directly opposite the big spruce at #78, calling non-stop for 2 minutes.  Then flew west to a low perch in a deciduous tree behind #74.

Beware if you are listening for this bird- there is a bluejay here that gives an excellent spontaneous imitation of the Solitaire.  I heard it calling 3 times, each time tracking it down and finding a calling blue jay!

Also had a bald eagle flyover.
